Our January meeting was held with a Trivia Contest. Our member James Gascoyne, alias Sherlock Holmes, prepared 20 items of trivia. The winners had 19 of the 23 possible answers correct. They shared the $10 prize. The winners were Chris and Frank Nechvatal.

Our February meeting was a potluck Fasching Party. Fasching is a celebration in Germany much like Mardi Gras is in France and, of course, in New Orleans. It marks the beginning of Lent, which starts on Ash Wednesday. Our Fasching Party had plenty of beads and masks, along with great food prepared and shared by members of the club.

As we move forward through our club year, the March meeting will have a video presentation, along with goodies such as popcorn, candy, etc., all appropriate for watching the video. April will mark our annual Patio Party to mark the end of our season of meetings. We will begin again in September when we plan for Oktoberfest.

Auf wiedersehen
