On March 27 the Greater Sun Lakes Community Foundation held a Hoedown Fundraiser. It was a sold-out event where folks enjoyed a traditional cowboy buffet and then danced to the terrific country music provided by Reign-N-Country. Prizes were awarded for the best country outfits, and there were many Silent Auction items that helped raise additional funds that our Foundation will disseminate to many clubs and activities here in Sun Lakes.
The Foundation regularly presents grants to many local community groups throughout each year in order to enhance the quality of life for the older population in the East Valley, including all Sun Lakes residents, in the areas of health, education, and culture.
