A Day with Essential Oils in Quarantine

JoAnne Gaudioso

Essential Oils can help provide us with both physical and emotional support, especially during this time in quarantine.

The first thing to remember is that we should all be following all the guidelines we are getting from the government and the CDC, mainly self-quarantine and social distancing.

Let’s take a look at a typical day of self-quarantine using essential oils. There are many oils that can be used to help boost our immune system and help us with cleansing our bodies and all the surfaces we touch daily.

The most important oil being used during this time is an oil blend called On Guard. It is also known as the Protective Blend. Remember, most oils can be used in three different ways: aromatically, topically, and internally. You can start your day by setting up your diffuser in a room where you spend most of your time during the day. Add three drops On Guard for immune support, three drops Frankincense which helps the development of your healthy cells, and three drops Breathe, the Respiratory Blend, which keeps your nasal passages clear and helps with chest decongestion. This aromatic use of the oil is recommended to use the entire day.

On Guard can also be used internally to support your immune system. You can add a drop or two to oatmeal or tea, or even put a drop on your tongue.

There are also many ways to use On Guard topically. You can make a hand sanitizing mist and keep it on hand in your purse, in your car, or golf cart. In your home, you can use On Guard to clean and sanitize your countertops, kitchen and bathrooms, and doorknobs.

Lemon is another oil that can be used frequently during this time. It is great for detoxifying your body. Simply add a drop to each glass of water you drink throughout the day. It can also be used for cleaning windows, bathrooms, and kitchens.

Now let’s talk about emotions. Many of us are experiencing mood swings. Some of us are fearful about getting sick or possibly losing a job or even worrying over our children and grandchildren. Being closed up in a house can cause us to become angered very easily with our spouses or other family members. If you find yourself experiencing any of these mood swings, you may want to try Balance which helps to keep us grounded and calms us amidst this health crisis.

Cheer reminds individuals there is so much more than the hardship they are experiencing and to determinedly hold on until they regain the hope and joy they feel they have lost.
