I would like to take this time to thank the volunteer SunBird Fruit Picking Team for their ongoing service to our community. They have been very busy this year picking fruit for our homeowners. They began picking in January and are still going strong. On a weekly basis, an average of 25 trees are picked on Tuesday mornings, and the fruit is delivered to the clubhouse for everyone to enjoy. It is not unusual to see Fran Stewart, Karen Hall, or George Richardson, shimming up the middle of a prickly lemon tree to get the fruit from the inside of these trees.
If you still have fruit remaining on your trees that needs to be picked, please call the HOA office at 480-802-4901, and schedule your trees to be picked.
