Mary Pilon, Secretary
On Tuesday, April 6, the Irish Club held its final meeting of the season. Our traditional patio party began at 4:00 p.m. with a short business meeting followed by a buffet of pulled pork or sausage, peppers and onions sub sandwiches. Baked beans and potato salad completed our picnic with cake as dessert. Music was provided by DJs Mark and Toni who entertained us with a variety of music, even including the Macarena which one brave member, Ethel Donoghue attempted, along with her two granddaughters. Not a bad job!
Yours truly left the festivities after the 50/50 raffle which was won by Harry Stanton. The annual bean bag toss was held after that so I don’t know who the winner was of that game.
Officers for the 2015-2016 season will remain the same as this season: President Walt Kinney, Vice-President Deanna Calvert, Treasurer James Gascoyne and Secretary Mary Pilon. The first meeting in the fall will be held on Tuesday, October 6 at 6:00 p.m. in the Horizon Room. It promises to be a season of new activities and outings along with our usual fun and games during and after our monthly meetings. If you or your spouse is Irish, even a little bit Irish, you are welcome to join us next fall. We happily greet all new members.
Have a great summer!
