A special thank you to the many Sun Lakes and surrounding area people, along with our Risen Savior Church family, who so generously donated non-perishable food to help supply the AZCEND pantry last March. Our total food collected in 2025 was 1,430 pounds as well as $445 in monetary donations, which helped to feed more than 1,100 people.
Risen Savior Lutheran Church will once again be having a food drive to help restock AZCEND’s pantry on March 21 and 22. The summer is an especially difficult time for AZCEND to meet the needs of the area, so we are asking for your help to ensure that people have food they need during these months. Those wishing to contribute can drop off non-perishable foods at the AZCEND truck in the north lot of Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 23620 N. Alma School Road (southwest corner of Alma School and Chandler Heights Roads), on Saturday, March 21, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. or on Sunday, March 22, between 8 a.m. and noon. If you’d like to make a monetary donation, your check can be dropped off at the AZCEND truck during that time. Checks should be made payable to AZCEND. All donations are tax deductible.
