What, another meeting? But this one is different, and you will love it. We will learn from each other and also from the readings of Edgar Cayce. We meet every Thursday at 7 p.m. in Room A-2 of Cottonwood Country Club. We have group discussions from the book A Search for God through the Edgar Cayce readings. Edgar Cayce is recognized as the greatest psychic of the 20th century and the founder of holistic healing. He is also called the Sleeping Prophet.
Born in 1877 in Kentucky, Cayce was an ordinary farm boy who ended his formal education after elementary school to become a salesman. As a child, he reported playing with “little people,” speaking with his deceased grandfather and possessing the ability to memorize books by sleeping on them. At age 23, after losing his voice, he used self-hypnosis as a cure. In this trance state, he discovered he could diagnose illnesses and answer complex questions beyond his conscious knowledge. Cayce worked as a professional photographer until 1923, refusing to profit from his psychic readings. He focused on helping people deemed “hopeless” by medical professionals, vowing to stop if his gift ever caused harm.
We strive to be healthier, peaceful, and to be one with the Universe and ourselves. We study our dreams and have time for meditation. Sounds good? So, just come find out what it is all about.
