For those of you who have returned early, welcome back! Be sure to check in at the SunBird Post Office and the HOA upon your return.
If you plan on leaving for the holidays, please come to the SunBird Post Office to fill out a Vacation Hold card. Do not put the card in your mailbox, as we will not know that you are away. We will make up the hold box here, then give the yellow card to your carrier. He will then, in turn, put the card in your mailbox.
Regarding our Vacation Hold program: We will hold mail indefinitely, whereas USPS will only hold it for 30 days. That being said, the first month is free. After the 30 days, there will be a charge of $l per week thereafter for our services. This policy has been in effect since I’ve been working here, which is over 21 years.
For any misdelivered mail, please return it to our office for redelivery.
Holiday stamps will be available this month.
Be sure to check out the savings by using the Priority Flat Rate boxes for those heavier items. All Priority parcels are tracked and insured for $50. Additional insurance can be added.
All outgoing mail leaves our office daily, Monday through Friday, at 2:15 p.m. Mail in the blue collection box in our parking lot is picked up at 2:15 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Our office will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day and Thursday, Nov. 27, Thanksgiving.
Our office is open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
