Studio News: SunBird Pottery and Ceramics Club members beat the heat this season, taking part in seven classes learning new techniques, meeting new members, and having a whole lot of fun! We launched Clay & Sip in March for residents of the community who are not members but wanted to learn more about clay. Thirty people have joined us for this class, making a beautiful hors d’oeuvres plate using a stencil and colors of their choice while sipping the beverage of their choice. In July we launched a shorter class called Clay Play at a time that works for community members who still work, and 16 people joined the fun!
Starting this fall, we will be offering member classes that have not been filled to non-members. Members will have a week after the class is posted to sign up. Days, times, and class fees will vary depending on the project. In September and October, we will be making a pumpkin votive holder, and in November and December we will make a Christmas tree votive holder. All upcoming classes will be posted in the bi-monthly blast, so stay tuned! If you have any questions, contact Christina via text at 614-746-2904.
