Pickleball and the Olympics: What’s the Future?

Are you wondering about the future of pickleball as a summer Olympic event? As of now, pickleball is not an official Olympic sport. However, the sport has been growing rapidly in popularity, and there are efforts to promote its inclusion in the Olympics in the future.

For a sport to be included in the Olympic Games, it needs to be recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and meet specific criteria, such as widespread international participation and the existence of a governing body that oversees the sport globally. The International Federation of Pickleball (IFP) is working towards meeting these requirements, and if the sport continues to grow at its current pace, it might be considered for future Olympic Games. Keep an eye on updates from the IFP and the IOC for any news regarding pickleball’s potential inclusion in the Olympics.
