We will have our first meeting on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. in the Lakeview Room. We will begin collecting dues of $10 per person (cash, please). Also bring your email address, as we plan to create an email list to remind members of meetings and special news.
Our first meeting will be devoted to planning for our Oktoberfest. Your president was approached by the Lions Club, and they have proposed we collaborate on putting on an Oktoberfest for the Sunbird community. It is being planned for the patio on Oct. 15, with brats and German potato salad. There will be a two-piece band to play German tunes and a bar for beer. We are in charge of selling tickets, beginning at the end of September. The Lions have proposed that we have the Horizon Room prepare the food. Please attend this meeting for additional information.
