The first meeting of the SunBird Kare Bears will occur on Wednesday, Oct. 19, commencing at 1 p.m. in the SunBird ballroom. President Karen Volk will preside over the meeting with new board members Kay Davis (vice president) and Lena Craft, Patsy Covington, and Donna Moran (members at large). Barb Dunbar will serve as secretary and Sandy Barber as treasurer. Committee chairpersons will be reviewed and reinstated. Discussion of speakers at future meetings will be established, along with decisions on fundraising.
We want new members to attend this meeting and get acquainted. The annual fee for joining Kare Bears remains at $5. If you enjoy a social setting, contributing to your community, sharing your talents, and working together with others, then Kare Bears will fit your itinerary.
Kare Bears will sponsor a fair the first Saturday in November, December, February, and March, beginning at 8 a.m. in the SunBird ballroom. Notification of vendors is in the process. The Kare Bear White Elephant table will be available with new items on display.
All current and future members are encouraged to attend this meeting as we plan this season. Refreshments will be available during the meeting.
