Our guest speaker, Karen Blankenship, is from Kansas City, Mo., and is an author and speaker. She has been involved in education, both nationally and internationally, for over 40 years. As an advocate for citizen involvement in government, she has served the community both as a volunteer and an elected official. She has been a music education professor at Calvary Bible College and has co-authored and authored three books. Karen will share a talk titled, “Leaving a Legacy: Through Every Season.” Seasons are a part of life, and as we go through those seasons, we are all going to leave a legacy. We are all going to be remembered for something—who we were and the things we did. The question is, “What kind of legacy do we want to leave? How do we want to be remembered?” Karen shares five things that are important as we think about leaving a legacy. We can apply these things in every season of our lives.
Jessica Klebanow, Ms. Senior Arizona for 2015, will be our featured soloist. Along with being a talented vocalist, Jessica is the founder of Startel Marketing. Pre-brunch music will be provided by The Keyboard Connection.
