I want to share with you our experience the morning that my husband had a stroke, so that you will be able to see the signs if something similar happens to you. It was 5 a.m., and Dan was getting ready to go play pickleball. He said something to me, and it sounded slurred. It was very early in the morning, so I thought maybe all was well. I turned on the light, and his face looked like the “Face” image in the picture in this article. I said, “We are going to the hospital now.”
We arrived at the hospital in 20 minutes, and they took him back and gave him the medicine. He was admitted and worked the hand that was numb until he had no residual damage. He was released to come home and is recovering well from the incident.
