Bonnie Marcus, Community Administrator
Please do not dump furniture, construction materials, or hazardous waste in the Villa trash areas. These Villa trash areas are strictly for the Villas and not the rest of the community. Please use one of the methods below to dispose of your items. If your license number is reported to the City of Chandler for dumping, you can be fined. They will not pick up these items which causes the HOA to dispose of these items. If you have any questions, please call the City of Chandler Solid Waste Services at 480-782-3510.
With everyone returning for the winter, I would like to reiterate the Chandler Waste Services Program.
Every Monday, the city will pick up your blue can or recyclables. These items can be newspapers, magazines, paper sacks, cardboard boxes, aluminum beverage cans, steel tin cans, soup-type cans, plastic bottles, jugs and containers, glass food and beverage jars, and bottles. Only bagged, shredded paper in the blue cans; this is the only time plastic bags are allowed. Recyclables should be clean and dry with caps, lids. and rings removed. Do not put plastic bags, wrap, or sheeting in recyclable cans, as they can cause a breakdown of equipment. No Styrofoam, egg cartons, or take-out containers.
Every Thursday the city will pick up your black can or garbage can. All garbage, grass, and yard clippings must be bagged and tied. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to keep their cans clean. Do not place materials outside of a city-provided container. They will not pick it up.
The Villas recycle pick-up is every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The same rules apply as above. The Villa’s regular trash pick-up is every weekday during the winter season.
Bulk pickups are available for appliances, electronics, bikes, patio furniture, grills, other metal items, tree and yard trimmings, broken furniture, and other large household items. This service is available to homeowners once every six weeks. They have been picking up on Wednesdays. Please call 480-782-3510 to schedule a curbside pickup.
Hazardous waste, household cleaners, pesticides, oil, antifreeze, and leftover paint must be taken to the Hazardous Waste Collection Center on McQueen and Queen Creek Roads. You must schedule an appointment at 480-782-3510 to ensure a safe environment for the public and staff handling large quantities.
Thank you for your cooperation.
