Looking for a special way to ring in the new year with your friends? What could be better than a style show and lovely brunch? The Assistance League of East Valley will present a very special style show. You might see the perfect outfit to complement your style and personality. A full breakfast buffet will be provided. Join us on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 9 a.m. in the Kingston Ballroom of the Oakwood Country Club of Sun Lakes.
The Assistance League of East Valley provides new clothes to over 10,000 children for school each year, provides essentials to over 300 homeless teens, makes thousands of Assault Survivor Kits for those in need, and provides Adult Day Care for hundreds of senior citizens in the East Valley.
Special music will be performed by soloist Terry Kerr, who is a member of the East Valley Chorale.
We will learn how to cope when life changes quickly from inspirational speaker Ilene Dirks. This former Family and Consumer Science teacher and TV personality comes to us from Iowa. She will share a talk titled “In the Blink of an Eye.”
The Crystal Card Project ladies will be selling their recycled greeting cards for domestic abuse victims.
