Santa and his elves at this year’s Golf/Tennis Christmas Party

In December, SunBird’s Lady 18ers played the Ladies Net Shoot Out, finishing under the cover of darkness. The days do get short in December. First Place finisher was Joyce Gerber, followed by Dana Marrs and Wendie Cameron.
Next, we turned our thoughts to visions of sugarplums. It turns out that you can never have too many Santas! Joyce and Bob Gerber were Mr. and Mrs. Santa, greeting guests at the door, handing out musical ornaments with the help of Jen and Dave Walton while the elves, Melissa Craig, Marcie Hogan, Toni Leonard and Pam Tiffany, ushered guests to their tables. MC Gary Whistler recognized Julie and her staff for the most delicious dinner. Jerry Lindgren was also recognized for his service to our Pro Shop over many seasons. Standing O for both.
Later at the intermission came the second Santa couple, Don and Shirley Hunt, dancing to “Jingle Bell Rock” with the elves. They went around to all the tables checking the list to see who was naughty and nice. The busy elves gave away the nutcracker centerpieces. Before the evening was over, the third and real Santa, Jack Cooper, appeared at photo shoot. To all a good night.

Looking ahead, we have planned Ladies Gross Shoot out on February 10, Couples Gross Shoot Out qualifier on February 26, followed by the Couples Gross Shoot Out on March 3.
