I believe in the sun even though it doesn’t shine,
I believe in love, even when it isn’t shown,
I believe in God even when he doesn’t speak.
Words scratched on a concentration camp wall.
“Imagine the person who etched those words. Try to envision his skeletal hand gripping the broken glass or stone that cut into the wall. Imagine his eyes squinting through the darkness. What hands could have cut such a conviction? What eyes could have seen good in such horror? One answer, only eyes that chose to see the unseen.”
Father you promised there would be faith and strength and hope to meet life’s problems. Father give that strength to those whose anxieties have buried their dreams, whose illnesses have hospitalized their hopes, whose burdens are bigger than their shoulders. Max Lucado, God’s Inspirational Promises book.
SunBird Community Church is fortunate to have a group of seasoned ministers to present a message each Sunday. For June, here is the roster:
June 1 David Walker
June 8 Marv Jacobs
June 15 Ryan Stephens
June 22 Jim Baugh
June 29 Terry Gott
Those of you who attended the Easter service were blessed by the singing and message of Reverend Jim Baugh, the excellent choir led by Pat Miller and the beautiful piano and organ renditions of Elaine Friesen and Trisha Russell. Thanks to all the volunteers who contribute in many ways to make this a church centered in God.
Although the winter visitors have gone to their homes and attendance is less, our love of Christ and the desire to worship Him has not diminished. As we begin our summer church schedule, we wish our northern friends a pleasant summer.
The SunBird Community Church is made up of believers gathered together to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, through preaching, teaching, music, fellowship and service. We invite you to visit us any Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the SunBird Ballroom. There you will meet friendly folks and be treated to an excellent non-denominational service. We will be overjoyed to have you attend – and so will your Lord.
