Julie Anderson

I moved to SunBird full-time in September 2017, with my husband Jim. My parents George and Beverly Spencer were long-time residents, avid golfers and supporters of all things SunBird. Their love for and commitment to SunBird was contagious… Jim and I moved to SunBird based on their positive experiences here.

I was taught and believe in giving back, so I am honored to serve on the SBGC board. I believe that a synergistic relationship can and should exist between our golf club and our residents. That is, I believe that by working together, we will achieve a result that is greater than if we work independently of each other. I believe we can maximize and enhance SunBird as a place to live, play and invest.

My goal is to be a link in actively listening, forming alliances and working cooperatively to maintain and improve SunBird Golf. I bring a background and experience in finance (I have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration), a commitment to our community and a love/hate relationship with the game of golf to the table. I appreciate your support.

I have owned in SunBird for more than 15 years and have been very involved in the golf community.

Experiences I can bring to the board are more than 20 years as a business owner, a real estate broker for 29 years and several years of banking experience. I have served on several Boards of Directors (real estate, Red Cross, Housing Authority of Portland and SunBird HOA). I have also served on several golf course committees.

My vision is to see the membership concentrate on the continued improvement of the total golf course; to monitor the financial health of the SunBird Golf Club, continuing to upgrade the course and put monies into a reserve fund for the future. We also need to encourage new membership in the golf course.

This is OUR community and OUR golf course. We love it and we need to take care of it.
