Women’s Connection to hold donation drive for Ryan’s House

Susan Reynhout, Publicity Chairman

You will not want to miss this event. Women’s Connection is reaching out to help Ryan’s House with a donation drive as part of the Thursday, April 12, Brunch. Invite your friends to join you at 9:00 a.m. in the Kingston Ballroom of the Oakwood Country Club in Sun Lakes for a splendid morning of fellowship, food and a powerful speaker.

A special presentation will be made by Marghan Miller of Ryan’s House. Ryan’s House vision is to create a replicable model of world-class caregiving that provides respite and palliative care for children and their families as they navigate life-limiting or end-of-life journeys. This loving community offers ongoing support and compassionate care that addresses the emotional, spiritual and social needs of the family. In 2016, Ryan House provided over 34,080 hours of respite care to 276 children with life-limiting conditions and supported 41 children and their families at end of life. In addition, they supported 1,100 family members and provided 23,000 Child Life Activities.

Kitty Chappell, an award-winning author and international speaker from Chandler, has appeared on television and radio talk shows. Kitty is also author of Good Mews, Inspurrrrational Stories for Cat Lovers, and her first eBook, Friendship – When It’s Easy and When It’s Not. Kitty’s triumphant story is liberating for every person as she shares how she became a victorious overcomer, not a mere survivor. She understands pain — more importantly, she knows the freedom of forgiveness. Her talk, titled “Soaring Above the Ashes,” is one of power and grace.

Special music will be provided by vocalist Beth Hancock. Pre-brunch music will be provided by the Keyboard Connection.
