You’ve been there. You’ve escaped the sandy foundations of the valley and ascended his grand outcropping of granite. You’ve turned your back on the noise and sought his voice. You’ve stepped away after the masses and followed the Master as he led you up the winding path to the summit.

Gently your guide invites you to sit on the rock above the tree line and look out with him at the ancient peaks that will never erode.

“What is necessary is still what is sure,” he confides. “Just remember, You’ll go nowhere tomorrow that I haven’t already been.”

“The victory is yours…”

“The sacred summit is a place of permanence in a world of transition.”

From The Applause of Heaven by Max Lucado

“People make plans in their minds, but only the Lord can make them come true. Depend on the Lord in whatever you do and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16: 1-3

With the quick passing of time and September now upon us, we will soon see our winter visitors begin to return. We will welcome them back to worship the Lord with us.

Thanks to the many volunteers who faithfully assist with our Sunday service and to the capable ministers who deliver the pertinent messages. Jim Baugh is one of our visiting ministers. He also is vice president of Global Training Network, a mission which trains indigenous leaders of Indonesia and India to become leaders and teachers to preach Christ’s message. Jim can be found in those areas working with the leaders there. He also has a powerful musical voice. Several gospel music CDs are available by contacting Jim. To further this mission, he is asking for your prayers and funds to help the work. He also can be seen and heard on U-Tube. Contact him at www.globaltrainingnetwork.org.

SunBird Community Church is nondenominational and based on the Bible. Our members invite you to visit us any Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the SunBird Ballroom. There you will meet our friendly congregation and hear an uplifting message by an experienced minister. Should we save a place? God will be glad to see you.
