The Sun Lakes United Church of Christ is looking for a music director for 2021-22 (September through May). We need someone who is familiar with both traditional and contemporary church music and the liturgical seasons. The director will be responsible for all the music at the Worship Service.
Church services are held in the Sun Lakes Chapel on Sunday from 11:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Additional services include Maundy Thursday, Christmas Eve, and any other services agreed upon by the director and the pastor.
The director will select choral anthems and bell choir music, direct both ensembles, and provide piano or organ accompaniment of hymns and any other music required during the church service. Weekly rehearsals for the voice and bell choirs are an hour and 15 minutes each, and rehearsal time and day can be determined in cooperation with the choirs.
This is a part-time position with commensurate pay. A job description is available upon request.
