The last “Skol” of the season

The Scandinavian Club of the Southeast Valley invites you to attend its final dinner and program of the 2017-2018 year (November-March) on Sunday, March 18, at the Sun Lakes clubhouse. The social hour will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a smorgasbord of pickled herring, sausage, cheese and crackers (and an open bar). This is an ideal time to greet old friends and make new ones. A delicious dinner of baked cod or chicken Diane, rice pilaf and cherry cobbler will be served at 6:00 p.m.

Carolyn and Bruce McCorkle will top off the evening at 7:00 p.m. with an interesting accounting of their cruise to eight Baltic countries, including Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. They will show slides and relate some of the unique highlights of their trip. Following the program, the 2018-2019 budget will be discussed and approved.

We welcome one and all to join us, but reservations are necessary and must be made by March 12. Dinners are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. To make a reservation and dinner choice (fish or chicken), contact Jerry Johnson at 612-817-9670 or email him at [email protected]. If you are unable to attend and have made a reservation, we appreciate receiving your payment, as the Scandinavian Club is charged for all reservations made.

If you can’t make it to this meeting, we hope to see you in November when we kick off another exciting year.
