The CC&R Task Force has proposed several amendments to the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions that are the community rules for SunBird Golf Resort.
Three of the amendments are taken from current policies, two of which have been suggested by our attorney; four are changes to the current CC&Rs; and one is a new addition to the document. CC&Rs are regulations that can only be changed by a vote of the homeowners. Policies can be changed by a vote of the Board.
Now it is time for you to vote. Please find enclosed in this edition of the SunBird News a sample ballot and a Guide to the Ballot for the Proposed CC&R Amendments. Use these to prepare yourself for the actual Ballot which will be mailed to you in January.
Set the guide alongside your ballot and refer to No. 1 of the Guide to help you decide to vote Yes or No in No. 1 on the ballot. Refer to No. 2 of the Guide to help you decide to vote Yes or No in No. 2 on the ballot and so on. Reminder, the actual ballot will be mailed to you in January. Please deposit your ballot in the box outside the office before February 28.
Remember, if you choose not to vote you are choosing to defeat the amendment. A non-vote is a No vote.
There will be a question and answer workshop in the Ballroom on January 12 at 1:00 p.m.; if there is anything on the ballot you would like to clarify please attend the workshop. Also, Block Captains in your neighborhood are available to help you understand the ballot. The office can tell you whom to contact.
