CAP flash drive

The R Countryman Chapter of the Korean War/Korea Service Veterans will meet on Tuesday, November 25 in the Friendship Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club at 10:00 a.m. Our guest speakers will be Nancy Roberts and Kim Schmuck from the Community Assistance Program (CAP) in Sun Lakes. They will briefly talk about the goal and services provided by the CAP but will focus on a new program just introduced by the CAP and Sun Lakes Fire Department called the Medical Flash Drive Program. Your personal medical flash drive can speak for you during a crisis, as it connects directly to the emergency personnel’s computer. Each medical flash drive comes preloaded with two forms which contain important information such as allergies, medications and emergency contacts. All you have to do is “Have it Ready” and carry your medical flash drive with you!

Medical flash drives can be purchased for $5 at the Sun Lakes Fire Station located at 25020 S. Alma School Road. For more information about medical flash drives you can check the Splash for monthly updates; contact the Sun Lakes Fire Department at 480-895-9343; or e-mail us at We urge you to have it ready because emergencies are never planned!

A special thank you goes out to our September speaker, General Carl Schneider!

Remember, “Freedom is not free.”
