The fifth SunBird Open Tournament netted a whopping $8,802 for a golf course project to be determined at a later date. KP winners were Marta Poykko, Janet Farrell, Gary Stahn, Loren Wallace, Rick Murphy, Mary Lou Trautman, Bob Thiesen, Mary Anne Gosney and Erv Sarkelft.
Hole No. 8 – Put your drive into the “heart” winners were Rick Murphy, Jack Launer, Russ Bower, Bob Cordray and Dean Huyghebaert; Longest Putt winners were Loren Wallace, Eric Gossling, Janet Farrell and Char Donalldson. The Gross and Net winning teams will be announced in next month’s news.
The Open Tournament would like to thank the 26 businesses and club members who sponsored holes and greens. And another thank you to the businesses who sponsored the coffee and donuts for breakfast and who sponsored the lunch which was served to the 144 golfers and 16 course helpers.
