On Wednesday, August 27 a group from the Portland, Oregon/southwest Washington area got together for a day and a half of fellowship and golf at the Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland, Washington. All in all there were about 32 persons in attendance. Couples from the greater Portland/Vancouver area were joined by couples as far away as Bellevue, Tacoma, Olympia, Shelton, Ocean Shores, Tokeland, Washington and Rockaway Beach, Oregon. It was a picture perfect day in the Northwest with temperatures in the morning around 65 degrees reaching near 90 degrees in the afternoon.
Several couples met at the Lewis River Golf Course Tuesday evening for dinner on the patio overlooking the Lewis River. Wednesday proved to be another northwest picture perfect day of golf followed by a late lunch on the patio in the afternoon. This was the second summer for this group outing and all agreed that it will become an annual event.
