It’s that time of the year again when Arizonans start bracing for the extremely hot weather. During periods of extreme heat, please check on your neighbors and the elderly to make sure they’re okay. During the hot months of summer here in SunBird, the Patrol will observe some residents out walking during the hottest time of the day. Heat safety 101. Summer in our area can be brutal and dangerous. Conventional wisdom says you should drink plenty of water. If you’re going to be out and about in the heat and find yourself in any kind of distress, the Patrol can assist you and get you to the clubhouse or back to your house. SunBird Patrol: 480-797-8605.
Important Reminders:
One of the most obvious security mistakes a homeowner makes is leaving their garage door open at night. The Patrol would like to remind you to make sure your garage door gets closed and secured before you turn off the lights and call it a day. Just like in the case of an unlocked vehicle, an open garage door is an invitation to a thief to steal from you. Oftentimes, easy access through an open garage door can also mean easy access into your home. Never let the bad guy win. Stay sharp, be safe.
CC&R 2.11 states: Dogs and other animals (other than a certified working dog for human assistance) must be kept on a leash when they are within the Common Areas. The Patrol occasionally gets a report of a homeowner’s or tenant’s domestic cat roaming in the Common Areas. All pet owners are responsibly for confining their pets to their lot to maintain control over their pet’s activity as to not become a nuisance or an annoyance to other owners. Please keep your pets confined to your lot to ensure your beloved pet’s health and safety and so that you can be sure you are complying with our community’s CC&R’s.
