Hola! Que pasa?
Want to have more fun when you go shopping in Nogales? Be able to chat with your server the next time you go out for Mexican food? Then join one of the fun, conversational Spanish classes being offered at SunBird this fall. As one of instructor Jeanne Capeloto’s students exclaimed, “It’s painless.”
The beginning class will be offered on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Pima Room, starting November 13. (We waited for snowbirds.)
The intermediate class will be on Mondays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Hopi Room, beginning November 12.
Tuition for the six-week class is $40. A textbook is required. The classes will be ongoing until late spring. The classes always enjoy a fun-filled luncheon at a good Mexican restaurant. We always have a great time! (or Chinese if they prefer – just kidding!)
There will be a sign-up sheet on the wall in the room next to the library. Whether you have had any Spanish classes before or not, it doesn’t matter. The first thing we learn is to have fun and laugh, then we learn Spanish! The class is open to anyone, not just SunBird residents – bring a friend.
