Unity: begin again

Unity Church of Sun Lakes is a community of souls who are seeking a deeper and more spiritual way of life through meditation, prayer, healthful lifestyle, positive affirmations and activities that promote education, friendship, fun and service. We follow the teachings of Jesus and other Masters of wisdom and love. Join us at our Sunday morning celebration at 9:30 a.m. at the Arts and Crafts Room of Sun Lakes Country Club, just a block south of Riggs on Sun Lakes Blvd. Our inspired minister is Rev. Debbi Brown Adams, and Francine Alexander is our incredibly-talented music and choir director. We welcome all visitors and hope you will stay for coffee and fellowship following the service.

It’s the first of the year and a time that many of us are looking at last year in terms of what we would like to change. It’s important to start with a clean slate so we look into our hearts to see any lingering spots of negativity in order to forgive them before we move forward into the new year. Unity has a celebration called Burning Bowl in which we write on a slip of paper those things we need to forget and forgive and then prayerfully burn them. Now we are ready to do our treasure mapping or set new goals. As we believe, we receive but mainly we know that at every moment in time we can always begin again. May this new year be a year of abundance and unending blessings of Peace, Love, Harmony and Joy for us all.
