Four new benches purchased by the SunBird Tennis Club.

The SunBird Tennis Club purchased four new benches, and they are on their way! Also purchased are more sunscreens/windscreens for the courts. This will help with the glare from windows and cars when playing.

The Volley Girls traveling tennis team from SunBird are currently in first place in the 4.0 flight 3 division. The Sunchix traveling tennis team from SunBird are also currently in first place in the 3.5 flight 2 division. These teams play in the Valley of the Sun league. Go SunBird!
At the January 3 meeting, we welcomed the new tennis board for year 2017. President Dave Walden, Vice-President Charlotte Wiard, Secretary Lillian Donley and Treasurer Pam Tiffany. We celebrated the new year with wine and pizza.
