SunBird Singers presents “What the World Needs Now is Love” March 8-9

The SunBird Singers, under the direction of Joyce and Owen Bae, will present their annual spring concert, “What the World Needs Now is Love,” on March 8 and 9, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the SunBird Clubhouse ballroom. Planning for the singers’ concerts starts about a year in advance of the concert date. Little did the directors know how appropriate the theme of this concert would be at this current time in our history.

The concert will start out with the title song “What the World Needs Now is Love.” It is then divided into four sub-themes; Love of Nature with the songs “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning” and “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” Romantic Love with songs “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love” and “All the Things You Are,” followed by Love of God with songs “Where Love Is” and “Joy in the Morning.” The final segment is Love of Country with beautiful renditions of “America the Beautiful” and “God Bless America.”

So mark your calendars and come and listen as 80 members of the SunBird Singers present songs of love. As usual, the SunBird Singers’ concerts are free; however, donations to help with the cost of music are always graciously accepted.
