SunBird Golf Course benefits from annual Bandit Golf Tourney

The annual Bandit Golf Tournament was played February 14, 2018, on a somewhat cool and overcast Wednesday morning. One hundred six determined souls competed in three different formats for monies and recognition in three different flights. Over 60% of the field was rewarded with winnings, as well as prizes in raffles and special golfing rewards like KPs (closest to the pin and longest putt). Many sponsors and various businesses contributed, and they are greatly appreciated for their participation.

A wonderful lunch was provided as players were awarded with raffle gifts and flight payouts. Squeals and laughter were heard on the SunBird patio throughout the meal.

In the end, it was the SunBird Golf Course which benefited from the players’ entries. The money from those entries went directly to the Pro Shop, and the golf course benefited through the Bandit donation of $1,500. This money aided the greenskeeper in obtaining needed mechanical items for turf upkeep.

With all that said, we are looking forward to February 13, 2019, when Bandits and many others will once again gather for some competition and comradery among friends. Keep the February date open for some more fun in the Bandit 3 Play Tournament.
