SunBird Community Church Christmas Eve service well attended

Again, SunBird Community Church thanks the many families and friends for attending our 2016 Christmas Eve service. Our community is so blessed to have such great talent so willing to provide the hard work and dedication needed to bring a worshipful and joyful service this Christmas Eve.

A big thank you to Sam Bastain for her tireless hard work and exceptional talent presenting a beautiful presentation of the Nativity supplemented with wonderful Christmas décor to put our hearts in a mood of worship and wonder. It is estimated we again had just under 325 residents and guests come listen to the “Christmas Story,” as read by Hank Miller, enjoy our SunBird Community Church Choir ensemble, directed by Pat Miller, and hear beloved Christmas music with soloists Kate Chambers, Vera Pollack and Arlene Cooper; harpist Suzanne Popelka and pianist Trish Russell.

“The Gift of Christmas” message was presented by Pastor David Walker, and we all enjoyed the audience participation singing our favorite carols and adding community fellowship and spirit to a beautiful service. Thank you as well to Gary Metzger for his continued support coordinating another successful service, and especially to all those participating behind the scenes as well as those who gave time and talent to bringing Christmas joy to all who attended.
