Just a reminder as our summer begins to wind down. The German Club will meet the fourth Tuesday in September, that is the 25th. Our September meeting will be to finalize the club’s Oktoberfest Dinner on Monday, October 24. Presently, the dinner is slated to begin with cocktails at 6:00 p.m. and dinner to follow at 6:30 p.m. The meal is Chicken Schnitzel, hot German potato salad, veggie and dessert – cost $15.00 per person. Monies must be paid before the scheduled dinner.
The SunBird American German Club is open to any interested SunBird residents. We meet monthly from September through April on the fourth Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Room in the clubhouse. If interested, you are cordially invited to drop in to a meeting to visit. We focus on the heritage, culture and language of Germany as well as the influence of German immigration on American culture.
