Tuesday, September 5, at 10:30 a.m. – HealthRHYTHMS Drumming Circle

Drum circles are a positive community experience designed to enhance self-realization, reduce tension, anxiety and stress, result in a positive medical impact and release emotions. No experience necessary, and all instruments provided; age 18 and over. Registration is required; limited to 20 attendees.

Thursday, September 7, at 1:00 p.m. – Growing Herbs in Containers*

Fall in Arizona is the perfect time to think about “Growing Herbs in Containers”! Master Gardener Lee Ann Aronson will discuss the best methods for a successful planting experience, including choosing the right pots and herbs and soil preparation.

Monday, September 11, at 1:00 p.m. – Adult Craft: Rock Solid

Come chat, craft and get creative! This month we are remembering the strength of our nation by painting rocks on September 11. Registration is required; ages 18 and over. Limit 20 people.

Tuesday, September 12, at 10:00 a.m. – Computer Basics: Getting Started

Learn the basic skills of getting on a computer and using the mouse. This program is for beginners; no experience necessary. Registration is required. Limit 10 people.

Thursday, September 14, at 1:00 p.m. – What is Dementia, Anyway?*

What changes, in aging, are normal and what could be the signs of dementia? Hospice of the Valley presents an informative program designed to help you or a loved one look for signs and symptoms.

Thursday, September 21, at 1:00 p.m. – Battle of Britain: July 1940*

Seemingly invincible, Hitler’s Luftwaffe paved the way for Germany’s conquest of Poland, Denmark, Norway, the Low Countries and France in a period of just eight months — until they met the Royal Air Force in the skies over Britain. Herb Zinn presents a fascinating look at this pivotal battle of WWII.

Monday, September 25, at 1:00 p.m. – It’s a Mystery to Me: Storytime for Grownups

Do you love to know “whodunit”? Join us for this grownup storytime, featuring a mystery short story or two. Feel free to bring a lunch or snack and enjoy being read to!

Thursday, September 28, at 10:00 a.m. – Computer Basics: The Internet

Learn the basic skills to navigate the Internet. This program is for beginners, but keyboard and mouse skills are recommended. Registration is required and starts September 11. Limit 10 people.

Saturday, September 30, at 9:30 a.m. – Storytime Saturday!

Join us for fun with books, songs, action-rhymes, flannelboards, crafts and more. Activities are developmentally appropriate for ages 3-6, but all ages are welcomed. Be ready to sing, learn and discover! No registration required.

*Seating will begin 15 minutes before the program starts. Limit 100 attendees.
