SunBird Lions Club and Lions Foundation of Arizona present their annual golf tournament on November 11, 2017, at SunBird Golf Resort, 6250 S. SunBird Blvd., Chandler, AZ 85249. Format is a four-player scramble. Check-in is on the patio outside the ballroom at 7:00 a.m. The shotgun start is at 8:00 a.m. Donuts and coffee are available upon check-in as well as lunch after golf. There are cash prizes for “hole-in-one” on par 3 holes. $25,000 goes to a “hole-in-one” on hole No. 3. Prizes will be given for longest putt, closest to the pins for men and women and door prizes.
If you would like to participate, you can pick up an entry form in the SunBird Pro Shop and mail it to PDG Fred Garmeson, 6150 S. Pebble Beach Drive, Chandler, AZ 85249, or turn it in to the SunBird Pro Shop. The entry fee is $45 per player which includes the lunch.
SunBird Lions are also asking for a donation towards the “Packages from Home” project. Donations of individual-size toiletries, such as sun screen, socks, playing cards, paperback books, canned nuts and hard candy or gum, would be appreciated and will be collected at the door.
