Roadrunner and Bandit Golf news

May always brings the exodus of snowbirds but for many Roadrunners and Bandits it’s a time to get together and have some fun – the golfing kind. The two groups met at the new 7:00 a.m. shotgun time on May 4 to test the players’ scrambling abilities. Jerry Chamberlin and Jane Anderson saw to it that teams were divided evenly and skill levels were equal. A shout out to them for their hard work. The rolling of a die determined the drive to use so many screams of excitement and words of dismay could be heard in the early morning air. One scream in particular was that of Barb Dunbar who made a hole in one on number 17.

Players came together in the Horizon Room for food, conversation and the awarding of the prizes; seven places were paid with the team of Steve and Becky Sargeant, John Walker and Gail Holland coming in first. A good time was had by all and everyone is now anxiously awaiting another meeting in our warm Arizona summer.
