The Lapidary Club, with its HOA managed shop on the second floor of the Clubhouse, is available to all SunBird residents interested in pursuing rock cutting/polishing, silversmithing, rock art; wire wrap jewelry; stained glass; fused glass; Ming trees or beading. A new ring saw for glass has been installed and over the summer the HOA staff has made several key improvements to the shop.

For safety reasons, access to the shop is restricted to SunBird residents who are current members of the club and have successfully completed training specific to the activity they wish to pursue. Classes are now underway and will continue into the spring. The next club meeting will be Friday, December 4 at 9:30 a.m. in the Hopi Room and interested residents are urged to attend so teachers and classes can be arranged. Monthly meetings are held the first Friday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Information is also posted on the shop door and in the library or you can contact club President Lois Anderson.
