Kare Bears holds a successful first Kare Bear Faire

We received an awesome turnout at the first Kare Bear Faire. We are grateful to the SunBird community and vendors. Shoppers eyed appealing gifts, food, accessories and utility items available. The 50/50 raffle was a super split for one lucky person; but some other lucky raffle ticket holders won amazing gifts. The white elephant table was a constant flurry of activity for those interested in pre-used items.

If you missed this Kare Bear Faire another will be held Saturday, December 6 from 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Come on out you may find original gifts for the special people in your life!

Our first meeting on October 15 expanded our Kare Bear family by 13 new members. Welcoming our returning members is an annual pleasure. We enjoyed an appealing and delicious array of refreshments.

Our club will be busy these winter months with various fundraisers and card and mug deliveries to our neighbors who are ill or have been hospitalized. The Kare Bears also assist with tribute of life memorials to our SunBird community.

A gift basket for raffle was donated to the HOA on Community Day and the Kare Bears hosted the annual bake sale. We are so grateful for your loyal patronage and for dropping by just to say hello.

Our annual Christmas luncheon will be on Wednesday, December 17 in the Ballroom. We want all of our happy workers (Kare Bear members) in attendance. Members, please bring your food dish by 11:30 a.m. so we can begin at noon. Our luncheons inspire vigorous and joyful sharing so bring your smile along. Also, we will have a surprise visit from Santa who will inspire seasonal cheer.

Don’t forget, all members should bring a donation of canned food for the food pantry. We will have donated toys to the Chandler Fire Department who will deliver them to children in Chandler.

Notices of Kare Bears’ upcoming events will be announced in the SunBird News and in flyers displayed in the Clubhouse.

If you have any questions contact Kare Bears Board members Sherry Fann, Barb Dunbar, Bunny Bottorff, Larie Thibeault and/or Nancy Manning; they are here to serve.
