New participants are welcome. When new people come, more direction is given. It is very easy to follow along. You do not have to be limber or in shape. Slapping or tapping the body is done to get the blood and energy moving. We also do a lot of joint rotations. This practice is based on ancient Asian Qigong principles and is very effective. The class schedule is the same but each class will be a bit different.

Nidra Yoga is done on Tuesdays. This is a relaxing and meditative practice. Most people lie down on the mats but you can sit in a chair.

The body becomes very relaxed. The goal is to stay conscious aware but some go to sleep for their first several sessions. You just relax and listen to my voice.

The participants reported it was refreshing as well as relaxing. A few movements are done before you lie down so your body is set for 25-30 minutes of rest. When the body is totally relaxed it is more able to heal itself. This time spent is equivalent to about two to three hours of sleep.

Monday and Thursdays will interchange depending who is there. We will do the tapping or slapping the meridians (channels) and work on strength, stretching and twisting. There are new bolsters and pillows in the room and they are used for the long YIN poses. These longer poses help the inner-connective tissues expand thereby helping the body to be more flexible.

Come a bit early to help set up the room; bring a mat. There are some mats in the room.
