The first meeting of the 2014-2015 season of the Irish Club was held on Wednesday, November 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the Horizon Room. Our new President Walt Kinney presided over the meeting. Deanna Calvert is our new Vice President, James Gascoyne is our Treasurer and Mary Pilon continues for her third term as Secretary.
We welcomed several new members and welcomed back our returning members. After the minutes of April’s meeting and the Treasurer’s report were read and approved, the members discussed the upcoming events of the new season.
December 18 is the date for our annual Christmas party to be held in the Ballroom. Unwrapped gifts will be given to the children attending Hartford School. We also will have a gift exchange among the members.
January is Hale Theater month. Margaret O’Brien is in charge of purchasing tickets and scheduling the date for the play.
February is our annual two night trip to Laughlin. Deanna Calvert will be making all arrangements for this popular outing.
March’s activity is the Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner and our final meeting of this season will be our Patio Party.
We welcome new members. Dues are $10 pp; renewal dues are $5 pp. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 2 at 6:00 p.m. in the Horizon Room.
