In Passing

Sue Misner

Sue Misner, one of SunBird’s original residents, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, in her home with her family by her side. She was 89 years young and still sharp as a tack and so kind until the very end. Sue is survived by her loving husband Jerry and two devoted daughters Debbie and Wendy. In addition to being a wife and mother, Sue was a Navy veteran, volunteer with Kare Bears and Chandler Center for the Arts and involved in many SunBird activities, including SunBird Singers, pool, cribbage, cards, Bunco, water volleyball and Tai Chi. Above all, Sue loved her SunBird community and the many dear friends that helped make her 24 years of living here so special. SunBird is a wonderful place, and we want to thank you all for your continued support and caring. It means so much.

Lee Sowers

Lee Sowers, former SunBird resident for 17 years, passed away on January 7, 2017, of Parkinson Disease in Sutterlin, Oregon.

Lee was active in many sports while living at SunBird, especially golf.
