William Wiedbusch

William A. Wiedbusch, 73, died Friday, September 2, 2016, at the Hospice of the Valley in Gilbert, Arizona following a lengthy illness.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Gayle and two sons, Ron and Todd, with their families and five wonderful grandchildren.

Bill served faithfully in the Air Force for eight years before beginning a 17 year teaching career in the Helena Public School system. His teaching career was cut short by physical ailments. After Gayle’s retirement, they moved to Chandler, Arizona where he lived out the remainder of his life surrounded by friends and neighbors at the SunBird retirement community.

Bill had a passion for assisting with Disabled Veterans and served as a commander for four years at the local chapter. He was also very active in his local community and will be missed by all.

A memorial service was held at the SunBird Ballroom on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. An internment service was held on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at the Arizona National Cemetery.

Bill and Gayle have asked that any donations in Bill’s memory be made to the DAV Chapter 8 in Mesa, Arizona.
