Footnotes from the library – December 2014

Nancy Smith

Have you ever noticed

When December comes ‘round

The places once quiet

Are now filled with sound?

The faces once troubled,

With eyes so sad

Are now changed with wonder,

The love to be had.

It’s only the heart of a child, you see,

That gives us the glimpses

Of what truly can be.

The music, the lights,

The family, the laughter

Will carry you through

The January after.

So, don’t let the rush

Of December madness

Keep you from finding

God’s faces of gladness.

The SunBird Library volunteers wish everyone a holiday of gladness and thanks you for your donations.
