It’s guest month at Women’s Connection! Don’t miss this opportunity to invite the special people in your life (men and women) to brunch on Thursday, February 11 at 9:00 a.m. in the Kingston Ballroom of the Oakwood Country Club in Sun Lakes.

Are you a baseball fan? Want to know what an umpire is or what it takes to do the job? Then don’t miss Tom Drake’s presentation of “The Life of a Major League Baseball Umpire.” This Mesa, AZ man has been involved with Calling for Christ (CFC) Ministry to professional baseball umpires for more than a dozen years. He visits with over 100 major and minor league umpires each year providing encouragement and discipleship. Eight major league umpires and Mr. Drake make up the Board of CFC. His son, Robert, is an umpire employed by major league baseball. We will learn about equipment, training and life of a baseball umpire. Tom will provide a fun and informative program which ends with an inspiring message.

Phillip Shepherd with be the soloist. He currently is a director of choirs, bands and orchestra at a Tempe Church.

Gluten free or special needs meals will be $1 extra and must be preordered. Any special dietary concerns not pre-ordered cannot be accommodated the date of the event.
