Essential oils and pain relief

Jo Anne Gaudioso

Are you in pain? Everyone experiences aches and pains occasionally. Some discomfort is mild and tolerable. How many of you are always trying over-the-counter remedies for pain relief? And are you aware of how toxic many of these remedies are? Did you know that there is a more natural, healthy way to get pain relief with Essential Oils?

More and more, individuals are using topical applications of Essential Oils to manage aches and discomforts, while achieving holistic wellness. Obviously, however, when in pain and particularly when in severe pain, seeking medical attention is most appropriate.

Whether you suffer from back pain, muscle and joint pain, arthritis pain, headache pain or even pain from fibromyalgia, there are essential oils to help give you relief.

There are many oils to choose from to use alone or blended with other oils. Below are just a few of the many oils associated with pain relief.

* Eucalyptus Oil – contains anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and antiseptic properties which provide significant relief from muscle and joint pain.

* Lavender Oil – offers a wide range of benefits for total wellness. It can relieve inflammation around joints.

* Rosemary – contains potent anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties.

These are only three of the many oils that can help with pain relief. There are many others, such as Marjoram, Lemongrass, Wintergreen, Chamomile, Peppermint and Copaiba, to name only a few.

Aches and pains affect everyone and are never fun. It is not uncommon to seek remedies for the various discomforts we experience. Essential Oils offer us a safe and toxic-free way to get pain relief unlike the remedies we seek over the counter.
