The snow is melting up north, and the Canadians are returning to their “home and native land,” having enjoyed another fun-filled winter at SunBird Golf Resort.
We would once again like to thank our many American friends and neighbours for the warm hospitality extended to more than 200 Canadians who winter at SunBird. A special thank you to Layne, Wanda and the office staff for coordinating our social activities. Also, thanks to John and the maintenance crew and Joe and the grounds crew for maintaining our facilities and grounds in pristine condition. Thank you to Marc and the turf crew for making our golf course so beautiful for those who enjoy the emerald green views and so playable for those who golf.
Our social events, Grey Cup, Pork Loin BBQ and the Great Canadian Golf Scramble, were well attended and enjoyed by all.
The Canadian Club continues to support our winter home with designated donations. This year, we are sponsoring the purchase of a new sound system for the patio for all groups and clubs to enjoy. Our $600.00 deposit will hopefully cover most of the cost for a state-of-the-art system so that all residents can clearly hear and participate in their patio activities.
