This year, the Gala entertained 44 entrants on a cold and blustery Sunday afternoon in the Horizon Room at SunBird. Proceeds from the raffle generated nine $20 prizes for that many ticket holders. Monetary prizes were awarded to those players with the seven highest bridge scores. A booby prize was also given for the first time, but that name is a secret. First place was secured by Toni Greisiger with 4690. Second place was awarded to Ruth Ketchum with 4640. Third place went to Betty Nobiling at 4440. Dorothy Sykes came in fourth place at 4170. Barb Ott held fifth place with 4050. Sixth place progressed to June Yates with 3710. Ken Haslow gleaned 3630 for seventh place. Close scores!
It was an enjoyable afternoon followed by a delicious dinner. We hope all of you will return next year and perhaps a few more who couldn’t make it this year. Until then, keep the slams coming!
