Art Club update

Sharon Eade

What a wonderful turnout for our annual Art Show on March 16. Our members are so talented and work very hard to have art that will be an asset to homes and enjoyed by its owners for years to come. It is always so fun for us to be able to meet and chat with those attending the show. This year’s added element of drawing the winning tickets for the five donated pictures was very exciting. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to the five members who so graciously donated their works. We also want to thank Wendy and her crew from the Homeowner’s Office for all their support and help in setting up and taking down the tables and chairs and to Julie and her staff for providing the cookies and coffee for all to enjoy.

We are so lucky to live in such a great community. We also want to thank those of you who took time out to express your appreciation of this year’s Challenge Showcase, as our members submitted their interpretation of the “animal” theme with some realism, some abstract and some whimsical animals to be enjoyed. Great fun for us and glad it was fun for you.

Next year’s theme will be “glass/metal/reflective surfaces!” Talk about a Challenge! Our own Irene Coatta will be tutoring us in this difficult subject. Stay tuned!
